Maybe you just got out of a relationship. Maybe you've never been in a (serious) relationship. Maybe you're asexual and/or aromantic. Maybe you're young and still don't know what the meaning of life is.
Lately, I have felt too much or nothing at all. And while it would be nice for someone to hold me while I cry myself to sleep, I'm good right here.
Well if you don't have plans today or tonight and you've got a free schedule, here are some ideas to keep your mind engaged and your soul at bay.
It is important to decide whether you want to wallow, reminiscence, forget, or lay back and chill. The choice of all the following will be crucial to providing the right atmosphere and emotions you would like to feel today/tonight.
Grab your favorite beverage and treat yourself.
And what goes better with your favorite sweet/bitter beverage than CHEESE? Get your favorite bougie cheese. Eat with with olives, fruits, your choice of carb, or just on its own.
And please, don't forget to fulfill your sweet and salty quota; this is crucial to filling the void.
Next up: a face mask!
And don't worry if you cannot get your hands on a packaged face mask. You can mash up some berries or avocados and spread it on your face and then take a cracker and eat it off. Reduce, reuse, recycle.
Everyone's gotta have their tunes. Play your favorite record, cassette, mix tape from high school, or curate a playlist to dance, sing, and drink the night away. Here is a mock up of some songs that I will be lip syncing and dancing to in my room with no shame. Some are romantic and some are about self confidence. Choose your music wisely, as this will set or break the mood.
And lastly, don't forget to clear out your Netflix list or DVR. Here are some movie ideas. (Don't feel ashamed to watch more than one)

Enjoy today and make it about you in whatever way is best. Buy some cheap incense and roses. Get a bath bomb and light some candles. Read one of those books on the shelf that has become way too dusty. Let time slip away and don't watch the clock. Don't check your texts and don't go on those apps. Or do. Go out, stay in. Do what you need. Do what you crave ~
